Fun AND exercise!

Unlike many of the Wii games where my kids have figured out how to just move their wrists around, this game requires actual physical activity. We already owned Outdoor Challenge, which we also love, but this game was more appealing to my 11 year old son. I highly recommend this game for when it's too hot/cold for the kids to be outside!
Doesn't include the mat

We already own Active Life: Outdoor Challenge and it is a favorite in our house all the way down to my 3-year old daughter. Because of the fun we've had with Outdoor Challenge, I'm interested in Extreme Challenge as well. There are two versions of this for sale. Be sure you choose the right one for you as this one does not include the mat, which is why is costs less. I wanted to mention it since I didn't see that called out in Amazon's listing. I think this Active Life line will have more great titles to come.

I bought this product to help my kids have fun and stay in shape over the winter months. They all love it!
Fun game, but frustrating controls.

The game is fun. Some of the activities have controls that aren't very responsive, such as BMX bike and in-line skating, making the games frustrating. Base jumping, kite surfing, jump rope and rock climbing are very fun, and seem to handle well.
Some nice features from Outdoor Challenge were removed from this game. Active points are not available in this new version. When completing personalized tournaments, the minimal passing scores cannot be adjusted either. This means that you may be playing the same event multiple times before you can compete in the next event. This becomes frustrating, when coupled with the bad controls for some events.
Overall, the game is fun, but the original Outdoor Challenge has superior controls and features. |
Not as good

This game is not as good as Active Life Outdoor Challenge which I recommend everyone get. You will get sweaty playing that game, but not this one. Also, that game is fun and this one is not. You will be disappointed if you bought Active Life Outdoor Challenge and liked it and then buy this one.
